What should my
expectations be in this course?
The expectation in your first entrepreneurship class is to
have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Learning
the fundamentals is crucial for expanding and specializing in whatever type of
entrepreneur you become.
What does it mean
to be an entrepreneur?
Being an entrepreneur is more then just selling things and
being your own boss. Being an entrepreneur means that you have a wide range of
knowledge on how to sell, run a company and be successful at it. All
entrepreneurs need to be successful in order to continue running their business
and that’s what you should strive for.
What do you think I
should learn in an entrepreneurship course?
I believe one of the most important parts of this
entrepreneurship course should be learning to think outside of the box. This
course should not teach you definitions and other tedious task like most
classes. You should be given a lot of hands on experience for this class to
have success.
The entrepreneur I have interviewed was Jim Beauchamp. He is the owner of a construction company in miami.
The assignment was extremely helpful because you get a different perspective on entrepreneurship from a third party. The person i had interviewed seems to look at the financial aspect of being an entrepreneur and also believes the fundamentals of this are important.
